"I began private yoga sessions with Helen in February 2006, while suffering post-natal depression, following the birth of my second child in December 2005.

"Sessions with Helen were effective; Helen remained sensitive to my changing needs while constantly offering support and gentle encouragement. I practiced with Helen for about 8 months before leaving to live abroad by which time I felt a massive improvement in my sense of well-being.
I have recently returned to the U.K. for the birth of my third child and I will be looking to recommence sessions with Helen in the near future.
I highly recommend her as an excellent teacher."

"About six months ago I realised how terribly unfit I had become and how my two pregnancies and C-sections had really had a bad impact on my body.  When I went to my GP complaining about my stiff back and pain in my hips, she suggested I tried yoga.  So I contacted Helen and started a private class with her and 3 other friends of mine, who also had young children and not a lot of time to exercise.  The results were incredibly fast and truly amazing!  On the physical side I do not have any back or hip pain anymore, my abdominal muscles have started to build up again and I feel much stronger and more flexible. I also discovered how yoga is great not only for your body but also for your mind, and how it boosts your immune system.  Last but not least, Helen is a fantastic teacher, always correcting us when the position is not right, and so understanding of oour individual needs and priorities. Thank you Helen for making me discover yoga."

"Helen Crowdey is an excellent yoga teacher.
She explains how to do the poses precisely but also why they should be done in that way.
She uses plain language.
Occasionally, she will use an evocative word which helps me visualise what my body should be doing.
She demonstrates clearly, always saying "I'll mirror you" so there's never confusion.

"Her classes are interesting.
Every week she introduces something new and challenging.

"Her classes are warm, nurturing places because she makes time for everyone.
I feel connected and not competitive.
She is spiritual and I do feel a part of the long history of yoga.
I think it's a privilege to be in her class.

"Her classes for children are joyful, adventurous but also contained.
The children are allowed to express themselves but there's enough discipline to make it a fair environment for everyone.
My daughter isn't sporty but she loves yoga.
It's worked well for her, restoring tone to an arm that was broken."

Best wishes, Trina 2009
